The first ever clinical trial of an investigational agent in erectile dysfunction (ED) was published last week in theJournal of the American Urological Association.
In a trial of 10 participants, Dr. Andrew C. McAllister, a urology specialist, was the only patient in the study who had a positive response to sildenafil, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction.
Sildenafil, the first drug to be approved for ED, has been available for more than five years. In 1998, it was the first drug to treat impotence.
Now, a new study will compare the effectiveness of sildenafil with Viagra’s other FDA-approved alternatives. “We have a new drug that has proven to be more effective than Viagra in treating ED,” said Dr. McAllister. “The study will provide a clear understanding of how one drug works and what one can do to improve the overall clinical picture of ED.”
A new study is already being done by Pfizer, which is testing sildenafil, and Dr. McAllister’s own trial, which is being conducted by Dr. Robert G. Johnson, a urologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch in San Antonio, has the results published. The results show that Viagra, with a much higher potency, is much more effective than Viagra with a lower potency. The results from the study also show that sildenafil is much more effective than Viagra, which has the most active ingredient, sildenafil.
“The results are a bit surprising,” said Dr. “They show that sildenafil is more effective than Viagra. Viagra has the strongest active ingredient, sildenafil. Sildenafil is a better medication for ED, and it also has a much greater potency.”
The other FDA-approved ED drugs are, such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra, which have been the most successful of the ED drugs studied.
Sildenafil is available in oral tablets, and the tablets can be taken with or without food. However, it has also been found to have slightly different effects on the human body than the erectile function of other ED drugs. Viagra is available in 50 mg and 100 mg tablets, while the other ED drugs, such as,, and Levitra, are available in 20 mg and 40 mg tablets.
Dr. McAllister, a urologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch, said the drug has been shown to be more effective than Viagra for the treatment of ED. He noted that the results of the study are promising, and that the study does not have long-term results. “It’s a good result,” he said.
The first study was performed in 2003 and involved a total of 17,895 men with mild to moderate ED. The study was not designed to measure the effect of sildenafil on ED. The primary end point was the change from baseline in International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) scores in the ED group, which was compared to the non-ED group.
“If you give a group, you could say you were getting better, and if you give a group, you were getting worse,” Dr. McAllister said.
“The results are very exciting,” said Dr. “They show that sildenafil is a more effective drug than Viagra for ED.”
The study also looked at the effect of a placebo group on a second measure of sexual function. “It was not a placebo. It was actually a placebo. It was just an equal-sized group,” said Dr. “We wanted to look at the effect of the placebo on the second measure of sexual function.”

A Dutch company has been fined $9 million for conspiring with the government and police to lie about their sales practices.
The company, which had a strong presence in the country, had been accused of illegally distributing Viagra pills in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom to customers who were trying to get a prescription for Viagra.
The company said its business in the Netherlands was run by two companies and it was the "product that the government was using to get them to do their dirty work".
